Have you ever encountered a dream whereby you become rich or have a positive outcome of an event? Well, mine was very interesting even though it didn't turn out the way one expected it to be.

It all started when the sun was high in the sky followed by a windy experience as I was on my way home from school when I saw some people along the roadside and decided to approach them.

When I moved toward them, I noticed that they had furry tails and sharp teeth. I was so frightened that I took a step back only for my feet to snap a branch. These strange people turned to look at me and without hesitation, I ran as far as my legs could carry me into a thick, dark forest where I lost track of them. I then wandered through the forest and before I knew it, it was dark. I knew my mother would be very cross with me and I would have to face the consequences of my actions.

After several hours I sat down under a tree to rest when I noticed a creature beside me with huge sharp teeth, furry skin and huge eyes ready to devour a poor-looking innocent student. I screamed at the top of my lungs just to figure out it was a dream. I got up all dressed just to figure out the dream I just had. I yanked out my phone just to figure out it was Halloween. "Happy Halloween," Mum said as she came into my room. I quickly responded and continued to get dressed

As I walked to school with Jessica, she couldn't stop talking about the Halloween party at Hayden's. It has recently been the talk of the school ever since Hayden announced his party a few weeks ago. The whole class was invited and honestly, Hayden himself was feeling proud to announce his party.

I joined my friends at our usual spot and we discussed the costumes we would wear to the party. I decided to go as a pirate but man was that a mistake. I got there a bit earlier than most of my friends. I met a few people including Jessica and Justin and we decided to help out with the decorations and lights.

We were so busy helping out that we forgot that the door had slammed shut and was locked. Justin suddenly noticed it and informed us about it. Most of us began panicking but Hayden and I decided to find a solution to this.

We began to look for the keys to the door when all of a sudden the lights went out. I immediately put on the torch. Hayden suggested that we all stay close but I kept on wondering how all this was possible.

Just then we heard some noise upstairs. Hayden suggested checking out what the noise was as the six of us waited behind. Just then few minutes had passed by and no response from Hayden. We tried calling him but no answer.

I began to suspect that something bad had happened to Hayden. Justin decided to check out what had happened to Hayden. He also left and just like Hayden no response. Just then we heard another noise upstairs and this time no one stepped forward to check out the noise.

We all began to stare at each other and I could see the fear in Jessica's eyes. I immediately reached out to her hand and assured her that everything would be alright. Mike and Pam suggested we call the cops to inform them about what was going on. We tried calling them but all the services were down. We tried several times again but no response.

Suddenly the noise grew closer we all panicked and ran to the kitchen shivering in fear. Mike bravely reached out for the kitchen knife and held it towards the mysterious shadow standing in the kitchen doorway.

The shadow kept crawling towards us as Mike rushed to stop the shadow from coming closer. The strange shadow attacked him violently leaving him with bruises and scars all over his body. He shouted for us to run and so we fled the house through the other kitchen door into the backyard.

Realising we had run far enough we decided to take a break. We gasped for air to breathe. What a terrific scene I thought. Jessica began to cry over Mike since he was left back in Hayden's place.

Meanwhile Jake and Pam were arguing about what we should do and unfortunately, their argument turned into a huge fight between them. I immediately rushed there and luckily separated the two. I assured them that the only way we can get through this is if we all work together.

"Wow Jay, I'm surprised maybe you have something to do with this," Jack asked sarcastically.

"No I don't and besides I never would wish this for anyone. Look, let's just focus on getting out of here, we can't afford to lose someone again" I replied.

After my reply no one dared to say anything and Jack stormed off to a nearby corner. I also went to check up on the others. Suddenly I heard Pam screaming I quickly rushed to Pam but unfortunately, it was too late Pam was nowhere to be seen.

Now it was just me, Jessica and Jack. We decided to try and find a way out of the backyard. Just then the shadow appeared again and drew closer to the light

As it turned out it was a muscular man with a stake in his hand covered in a blood-like substance. We all grew scared and ran into Hayden's garden as we came across a maze. We quickly ran into the maze and this time there was no turning back.

We decided to rest after we had run further away from the mysterious man. Jessica was shivering in fear as Jack and I assured her that everything would be fine. Luckily, the phone had received a bit of reception. Thus, we called the police and informed them of what was going on. I gave them the address and they gave us their word they would arrive soon.

Until then, we decided to stay calm and try and find someplace to hide. But Jack and Jessica still insisted that we find a way out of the maze. I had no choice but to agree.

Eventually, we made it out of the maze and ran into the woods near Hayden's house. We ran panting every step of the way and surprisingly, the man was able to track us. We ran until we came across a dead end. "Oh, man! We're dead"

"Well, well it looks like it's a nice evening the moon is out, the streets are clear and there's nowhere for you to run." the mysterious man said.

"What do you want? Please just don't hurt my friends" Jessica pleaded.

But the man charged at us like a raging bull ready to strike when suddenly, Jack and I stepped in and tried to stop him. Jack rushed at him trying to grab the stake from his hand when suddenly the man kicked him and cut him with the stake.

Leaving Jack on the ground wounded. I quickly climbed on top of him and held his neck. As we both struggled Jessica picked up a stone and hit him on the head.

The man was furious. He pushed Jessica away making her pass out suddenly. Then, he released me to the ground injuring my hip, causing me not to be able to get back up on my feet.

He grabbed his stake looked at me in rage and charged towards me holding the stake in his hand. Just then the place was surrounded by cops causing the man to panic.

"Drop your weapon and put your hand behind your back."

The man did exactly as told as he was handcuffed and taken to prison. After I saw him leave I passed out only to find myself in the hospital. My mom was worried sick and the doctors told me what had happened.

As it turned out the man was a well-known serial killer who escaped from prison two years back. He was responsible for the sudden murders going on lately. Man, was I glad it was over!

Eventually, Jack, Jessica, Justin, and Hayden recovered but sadly Pam and Mike passed away. It was hard for the rest of us but we moved on.

In the end, Jack and Justin joined forces to write an article about the incident we experienced, which brought them fame and fortune. Hayden remained unchanged even after the event. Jessica and I continued to be close friends, spending more time together. I hope that someday we can be more than friends.
