Jungkook was a strict professor and had just joined the university. He had built a reputation for being tough but fair, and he was determined to make sure his students learned everything they needed to know about raising livestock.
When Zainab walked into his class, she looked at Jungkook with curiosity. She had heard about him before and was interested in seeing if he could handle her. But Jungkook didn't give her much of a chance to test him out.
"Miss Zainab," he said in a calm but stern voice. "I've heard about you and your reputation. I don't tolerate any nonsense in my class. If you're not here to learn, then you can leave."
Zainab didn't back down. "I'm here to learn," she said with a smirk. "But I'm not going to sit here and be quiet. I have questions and opinions just like everyone else."
Jungkook raised an eyebrow. He had never had a student challenge him like this before, but he wasn't about to back down either. "Questions and opinions are welcome," he said. "As long as they're respectful and relevant to the topic at hand."
And so began a battle of wills between Zainab and Jungkook. She would speak up in class and challenge him, and he would calmly shut her down with his knowledge and expertise. But as the weeks went on, something shifted between them.
Zainab found herself looking forward to Jungkook's class and she started to pay more attention to what he was saying. Jungkook, in turn, started to appreciate Zainab's curiosity and determination to learn.
One day, after class had ended and everyone had left, Zainab lingered behind. She walked up to Jungkook's desk with a mischievous grin on her face.
"You know, Professor Jungkook," she said. "You might be tough, but you're not so bad once you get to know you. Maybe you're not as strict as I thought."
Jungkook smiled back at her. "Maybe you're not as much of a badass as you think," he said, teasingly.
Zainab laughed. "You know what? You might be right," she said. "But don't tell anyone, okay? I still have a reputation to uphold."
Jungkook chuckled, and for a moment, they both just stood there, smiling at each other. It was then that Jungkook realized he had feelings for Zainab that went beyond just being her professor. And as for Zainab, well, she was already planning how to convince Jungkook to break a few more rules with her.
Jungkook had never seen Zainab in such a state before. She was usually confident and fearless, but now she looked vulnerable and hurt. She had been bullying a girl in his class, and he had stepped in to stop her.
"Zainab, what's going on?" he asked, trying to keep his voice calm.
"I don't know," she replied, her voice shaking. "I just...I don't know what came over me."
Jungkook could see that she was not in her right mind. He knew that she had a lot of stress in her life, and he wondered if that was what had caused her outburst.
"Zainab, you need to calm down," he said. "I'm not going to let you hurt anyone else. And you're not going to hurt yourself either."
Zainab looked up at him, tears streaming down her face. "Who is she to you?" she asked, her voice breaking.
Jungkook hesitated for a moment. He knew that he shouldn't say anything, but he found the words slipping out before he could stop them.
"She's my girlfriend," he said.
Zainab stared at him, her eyes wide. The tears on her cheeks turned into a full-on sob, and she ran out of the classroom.
Jungkook chased after her, but the rain was pouring down heavily. He could barely see where he was going. He finally spotted her sitting on a bench, her head in her hands.
"Zainab, I'm sorry," he said, as he sat down beside her. "I didn't mean to hurt you."
Zainab looked up at him, her eyes red and puffy from crying. "I know," she said. "It's just that...I don't know what's wrong with me. I feel like I'm losing control."
Jungkook put his arm around her, trying to comfort her. "It's okay," he said. "I'm here for you. You don't have to go through this alone."
They sat there in the rain, holding each other. Jungkook knew that he had crossed a line by telling Zainab about his girlfriend. He knew he shouldn't have done it, but he also knew that his feelings for Zainab were just too strong to ignore. He just hoped that they could both move on from this and figure out how to deal with their complicated situation.
