The Scam Game

Frank Simpson was sent to prison for armed robbery. This was his second time in jail. Frank always hated working and having a boss. He wanted to live the big life without spending all his time in a job that would take him nowhere. What was the point of working so hard that you are too tired to enjoy yourself when you finish work? Unfortunately, he was born into a humble, low-class family. He saw how his parents strived to get to the end of the month. They never went on holidays, they never had a lavish Christmas or Thanksgiving party. His parents worked to death in meaningless jobs that only provided their family with the basic things to survive.

They lived in the shady part of Harlem, in the bad school district. Frank had a mediocre education. His parents were always careful not to get sick, they didn't have a good health plan. His mother died of cancer when he was 18. They couldn't afford her treatment. His father died in a car crash when he was 24. His parent's inheritance was a second-hand car, a tiny apartment where they lived, and unpaid medical bills. Frank promised himself he would not face such hardships in life.

At 25 he entered a gang but wasn't on good terms with the leader. He hated being ordered around. He stayed for a year or so, he learned the basics of robbing and scamming people. He realized that he could do better on his own. The leader took a big chunk of everyone's profit.

Timothy Hudson was a genius student. When he was in High School, his math teacher contacted Vanderbilt Enterprises to get Timothy into Nathaniel's scholarship program. Nathaniel saw potential in the young Timothy. He got a full scholarship to study computer programming at New York University. Nathaniel paid for his studies and offered him a job once he graduated until he found something related to his field. He also offered to help him connect him to the CEO of Google, Facebook, and Twitter. Timothy graduated Summa Cumme Laude. Nathaniel got him job interviews at Google, Facebook, and Twitter. Nathaniel was very proud of Timothy's accomplishments.

Timothy wasn't satisfied with his salary at Google. He got bored at work. He started surfing the dark web and doing dangerous things with his computer at Google's offices. He was 25 when he hacked the server of the FBI and was sent to prison.

Timothy and Frank met at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. They were cellmates. They were about to be released soon. Frank was 42 and Tim was 32. All these years in jail together had forged a close friendship and most importantly, they shared the same goal: earning easy money. They hated having a boss and going to a workplace. They wanted to live a good life without doing any hard work. These years in jail were good for plotting a profitable business. A risk-free venture that would provide them with lots of money in a sort of legal way. People would willingly give them money. They would keep their identity hidden and the money would bounce from one international account to another until it would finally be collected in a fiscal paradise like the Bahamas where they would settle down.

They worked hard in prison to save enough money to have enough when released. The plan was easy. As soon as they left prison they would travel to Mexico and from Yucatan they would board a ship to San Pedro, Belize. They would live there because the Bahamas is expensive whereas Belize is cheaper. They would open an email account to get in touch combining both names.

The first to be released was Frank. After he cashed his cheque for the time he worked in prison, he sold his family apartment and bought a bus ticket to Cancun in Mexico. From Cancun, he traveled to Playa del Carmen, and from there to Chetumal near the border. He crossed the border, entered Belize, and went to Corozal where he boarded a ship to San Pedro in Belize. He opened an email account with both their names: [email protected] and waited for Tim to be released from jail. Timothy would be released in eight months. Meanwhile, Frank opened a bank account and bought an old house. He started all the necessary residency procedures. He worked on the house every day, restoring it. It was an old house in the historic part of town. The fact that he bought this house and was willing to restore it to its original beauty helped him with his residency. Frank bought it because it was cheap and big enough for him and Tim. He was restoring it because he needed to keep himself busy till Tim arrived and because he didn't want to live in a dump. He didn't know it would help him with his papers.

Eight months later, Timothy was released from jail. He traveled to Mexico. He bought a good laptop on the way. When he was on the bus, he opened an email account combining both names: [email protected] and wrote an email to tell Frank he was on his way.

Frank answered the email and told him he would wait for him. Tim arrived and met his friend at the port. As soon as they got into the house they closed the email accounts. Timothy liked the house. Frank helped him with the residency procedures. They settled in San Pedro. Once Timothy got his papers. To Timothy's surprise, the local police didn't research much before giving them their residency papers. It was so easy to become residents that they even considered becoming citizens and starting with a clean record, and no criminal past.

In the following weeks, Tim concentrated on creating the perfect app. It was a cell phone app that would help users mine cryptocurrency. The trick was that if you wanted to use the free version the app got a 50% withdrawal commission and a minimum withdrawal of $100. If you wanted to withdraw your earnings at any time and with a 20% commission or less you had to upgrade from a free subscription to a paid one. Depending on your subscription you would have a smaller commission. It wasn't a real fraud. Because people would get their earnings, but in the meantime, Frank and Timothy would invest the users' money to get profits for themselves and they would also get the commissions. They created their own cryptocurrency and correspondent wallet to make the business even more lucrative. With this wallet, they would also get a commission every time users change their cryptos into other cryptos and send them to other wallets.

To earn more money they created affiliate programs, earn Sharky crypto -the name of their crypto- while you sleep with DreamTracker, earn Sharky crypto while you walk with WalkTracker, earn Sharky crypto while drinking water while using HydrationTracker, earn Sharky crypto while mining with MineTracker. All these programs were connected to the Sharky Wallet. Using their Smartphones they created programs that help you mine crypto by staying healthy, they went a step beyond others and developed programs that allowed you to mine crypto if you maintained a normal blood pressure, other by doing cardio exercises and tracking your heart rate. Another program that was connected to a smartwatch gave you Sharky crypto by keeping stable sugar levels.

Frank sent a letter to the World Health Organization (WHO) to get their sponsorship and soon doctors all over the world recommended their programs. who wouldn't recommend a program that helps patients stay healthy, and in a world where access to medicine is expensive these programs added an extra to the users.

Frank also sent letters to the boards of education of several countries, especially, underdeveloped countries. He explained the marvels of teaching their students to use these programs, they could teach their relatives to use them, too. They could improve the health of the family and in that way the health of the nation and at the same time they and their relatives could have an extra income, if the children started using these programs three years before finishing school they could save enough money to go to college. He sent some graphics showing how much money they could make. Besides, if they referred the program to other people they would get a raise in their income. So, by referring their friends and relatives their income would be more than the one shown in the graphics, and as the programs have the free versions and the graphics show the earnings of the free versions they had nothing to lose and they would gain good healthy habits and some savings for their future.

After this first face with the programs and the wallet, Tim developed another program destined for charity. It was a basic mining program. in the free version, the minimum withdrawal amount was $20,000 and the commission was 20% there were 3 subscriptions: a silver subscription that cost $100 monthly with a minimum withdrawal of $15,000 and a 15% commission, a gold subscription that cost $250 monthly with a minimum withdrawal of $10,000 and a 10% commission, and a platinum subscription that cost $500 monthly with a minimum withdrawal of $5,000 and a 5% commission.

Frank sent letters to churches, temples, organizations, schools, etc., to promote this program.

With Timothy updating the programs and collecting the money and Frank's skills to promote the programs, the business soon took off. In less than six months they had customers all over India, Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia mostly using the free version of the programs. They also had customers all over the world using the free version and subscription versions.

The charity program was a boom among the Christian communities, and many schools in developed countries used it to support ecology charities and health research programs. The free version of this program was also popular in underdeveloped countries, mostly to build schools, get water to villages, etc. The advantage of this program for Timothy and Frank was that the withdrawal minimum was high and gave them time for them to invest the money before the users could ask for it.

Deep down, they were scammers, two ex-convicts who didn't want to work but wanted to live a luxurious life with money provided by others. Who could blame them? Who wouldn't like to live a life of luxury without the burden of daily work and an oppressing boss?

It was time for Frank and Tim to decide where they wanted to live. They had enough money. They knew they didn't want to go back to the United States because there they were ex-convicts. But they wanted to live in a place where they could speak English, They both studied Spanish at school but none of them spoke it very well. Or they could stay in Belize while learning another language.

They debated for a long time and they decided that Ireland was the best option. The monarchy wasn't appealing to them. Dublin seems like a nice place to live. Tim went online to find out how to apply for residency and eventually become Irish. They also looked for houses in Dublin. They contacted an agency and told them they wanted two houses to be close to each other or two flats in the same building. The agency would be in touch.

They would keep their house in San Pedro. It was a nice place to take their holidays. San Pedro was a quiet place and the beaches were nice. The weather was always warm. It was a nice place to escape from the cold European winters

In the beginning, they wanted to scam people, they were so tempted to keep all the money for themselves. But they also want to live a good life. They wanted to enjoy the good things in life, like traveling and being in public. What's the use of having money if you have to hide or find a non-extradition country? This way they would make less money but they would still make lots of money without worrying about being chased by Interpol. Instead, they would be considered great entrepreneurs and even philanthropists who helped people live better and helped charities.

Who would have thought that two thugs planning a way to make easy money by scamming people would turn into successful internet businessmen? It wasn't intentionally made, it was casual but the fact that they didn't want to go back to prison was stronger than their greed. They settle for less money. Although that less money was a promise to turn them into millionaires in just a few years.
