C Clark Carbonera

Wrote this poem and it took me a few hours... Still don't know why, despite that, I hope it makes sense for you as much as it did for me. With Artbreeder I created a few pictures using the poem's name, I put one at the beginning and another at the end :)

Lay your lips on mine

Beneath this starry night –

My feet had stars

And my head clouds,

But they were running

The wrong way down

This familiar hill of mine

Deepest, wildest desires

Born at one midnight of

My adult imprudence.

Gasping and afraid of

The shadows I created,

My stellar feet ran crazy

Back up the hill again to

See the shadows of what

Once were tasty dreams

For a lost fortune on earth

– Lost in ambivalent cravings

Long gone, I went with

Some voices in my head,

Screaming and whispering so bad

They all made it hard to distinguish

The magical and devilish things

Mixed behind teenager hopes,

Until this bright rope descended

From that same starry night.

Now could my ears hear the clouds

Speaking of mysteries sung by

Mists across the mountains.

Suddenly I realized how

Small the world was, with its

Roads and rivers taking so

Many people away from

Where I stood.

However, rebellion can be so sweet…

Giggled I hushed:

Maybe this rope was never

Meant to be for me!

And I let go of my shield

Of shimmering dreams to

Follow the song sung

By the mists at the mountains.

Happily, they received me back,

To teach how to cross the

Dungeons of their rocks

And not be locked nor hunted

By the shadows of lost dreams.

Softly I accepted the task to

Give the Moon a bright kiss and

Never give away the saints

To mermaids to eat.

Maybe next life, I get another

Chance to live as one with

The Moon and stars and

Not lonely in a hostile land

Carved by nightmares’ silhouettes.

Tonight I open my lips,

Expecting yours to lay here.

As an ode you deserve,

I fully sing from my guts

Wondering if a moony future

Will accept a weak one

Who learned his lessons.

So here goes I and my

Tongue full of thunders:

This is me in my glory,

In all my glory

At night!
