A comet fell from space, gliding past the stars and leaving a trail of beautiful dust to pepper the sky. She stares out of the window in the dead of night. The comet strikes miles from her and creates a wave throwing buildings up into the air and the screams of sleeping and awoken people ricocheted past her as she was thrown up. I reached up, my wrists aching as I stretched with all of my mortal strength to the golden pendulum swinging through the hazy afternoon sky. The trees and buildings surrounding me sunk into the ground as I catapulted myself to the heavens. Touches of fire caressed my skin, reddening my already flushed flesh. I felt no pain at this moment; only the hollow feeling in my feet one might feel when excited or nervous. Her legs swollen and rased with the sands of the desert lashing up at her. She could scarcely see the desert temple of the Incas glinting on the ever stretching horizon. Depleted of water and food her stomach felt like it was plotting a wild escape, she saw a small river in the east, praying to G-d that it wasn't a mirage.
