“Isaac was very dear to me, It’s hard without him.” I choke up. I continue reading my speech about the night we met.
December 23rd. (The Night We Met)
He was just 14 riding around on his Spider-Man electric bike l later on teased him about. He had this glow. It’s hard to explain. Like right then and there I kinda just knew we’d become friends. I guess that’s what love at first sight is. I was sitting on a bench at the beach working on my unfinished novel. I stopped the moment I heard a bell. I look back, surely enough it was him. “Spider man huh?" I tease him about. His eyes were a sage green. They weren’t just any sage green; there was something special about the green in his eyes. His eyes lit up the moment I looked at him. I admired him for a while before I spoke once again. “Need something?” “Huh, oh yeah you just looked so concentrated.” “So you stopped me because I’m so concentrated?” “Yeah, I’ve never seen someone that concentrates that much. I had rang my bell five times before you actually looked back at me. He smiled slightly. It is quite cute. I won't lie, that grin was something that always put me in a good mood. Except for that night. “Well I’d like to go back to that.” My face turned a bright pink. I was nervous, and he was too. A boy has never been nervous around me before it was special.. I smiled at him, making his face light up, which made me chuckle. “What’s so funny?” “Nothing, just your smile, it’s beautiful.” He grins. “Thanks.” “So what’s your name, very concentrated girl," he teases me about. “I don’t know why do you need it? Gonna tell the FBI I’m too concentrated, it'll destroy the world.” I laugh out loud and cover my mouth. He notices. He frowns slightly. I fidget with my hands and play with my hair. “Yes, I most definitely will. I need to graduate middle school this year.” “I’m Ella, you?” “Issac, call me Zack though.” “Got it.” I look down at my shaking leg. “Should I call you El or will you call a demogorgon on me” “it’s obvious you never watched the show Stranger things.” “Hm.” He speaks and bites his lip. “I will call you Ellie. It suits you.” I smile at that. “Why are you so-“ I stop myself. “So? What?” “So- nice.” “It’s kind. My mom says no boy gets a date with a girl by being rude.” “You wanna go on a date?” “Maybe.” I fix my hair up a bit. “Yeah, I’d like that.” “Great, do you want to go somewhere now?” “Right now? Well I’d have to ask my mom.” “Just don’t ask. Just go on an adventure with me.” “Fine but my mom picks me up at 6:00 pm so let’s hurry.” “So, Ellie, why are you skipping class?” “It's boring,” I exaggerate. “What grade are you in?” “Eight, you?” “Ninth.” “I was wondering why I haven’t seen you around, you're in your high school.” “Yep. It’s not as bad as the teachers make it out to be.” “Well, let's go to the food place in the mall.” “That sounds great!” I exclaimed.. “Well, what are you waiting for?” He speaks as he sits on his bike. “Oh, I’m not going on that.” “Oh yes you are,” he smirks. “Fine! But I’m sitting on the back.” “That’s fine with me.” I walk over to the bike with my heart beating out of my chest. I knew if my parents found out I’d be dead. But then again, It was him, and the night we met. I sit behind him and wrap my arms around his around him. “Is this even legal?” “Nope, this is my dads I’m sure you are not scared of a little ride, are you Ellie?” “I’m not scared, start driving.” “It’s not a car.” “Whatever, start pedaling!,” he laughs yet again. “Whatever you say Ellie Ivy Brown.” The bike starts. “How do you know my name?” “You really thought I wouldn’t know the name of the girl who’s writing the school newspaper?” “You're not even in my school! How’d you know?” “I have my ways.”
January 5th. The night we first kissed.
You really thought you’d hear all about it now? Nope.
