Between Us Suivre l’histoire

Keeping myself busy doing my my requirements because of the finals. I’m an third year college architect student. Staying in the library is what I like because I can feel peace and relax when I’m doing my things and para mas marelax ako ay inilabas ko ang aking headset and cellphone and played the song ‘Buko’ by Jireh Lim, gusto kong mamotivate ngayon lalong lalo na’t after kong gawin ang mga requirements ko ay magsusulat pa ako ng mga stories ko. I’m a writter except for being an artist.

While doing my things, someone throw a crumpled paper on my head. I looked up but there is no one. Bumalik na lang ako sa paggawa pero napansin ko na parang may nakasulat sa papel na ibinato sa akin. Pinulot ko iyon at binuklat. It says ‘Hi, I hope you can come to our party at my house—Chelsea’.

I smiled and remembered that we will have our last party later, it’s 7:00 pm. I fold the paper and put it in my bag. I continue what I’m doing when there’s someone throw a crumpled paper again, and this time I caught him. Yes him.

He is Lucas Duke, my mortal enemy in academics, sports, and journalism. Basta sa kahit na anong bagay, we are enemy. I pick up the paper and open it. ‘Don’t even think how to pass me. You’re already a looser, Seleira Phoenix.’That’s what written on the paper. I crumpled it again and just continue what I’m doing.

It’s now lunch time so I fixed my things. After I fixed my things, I went to Mrs. Ramos to pass my requirements and signed my name to verify that I’m done in any of my subjects. After my verification, I went to my room. There I saw Chelsea, doing her make up.

“Hey, why did you throw a paper on me? You can give it directly to me instead,” I said.

She made a confusing look.

“What? I didn’t,” she said.

“ You are...” I said then I get the paper in my bag and showed it to her.

“Oh I think it’s Lucas handwriting. I told him to take this to you because I’m busy too awhile back. Why, is there something wrong?” she said while putting an eyeliner.

Nilakihan ko sya ng mata nang tumingin sya sa akin at naintindihan niya ito agad.

“ A-ano kasi Eira, w-wala na akong m-makitang free kanina, kaya—“

Hindi ko na sya pinatapos magsalita dahil tumayo na ako at naglakad palayo.

“Eira! Sorry na!” sigaw nya nang makalabas na ako ng room. Tumakbo na lang ako.

I don’t know where to go but I want to eat now so I went to canteen. Isasantabi ko muna ang galit ko.

I ordered pancake and apple juice also a chocolate bar because this is my favorite.I just want a light lunch dahil medyo nawalan ako ng kaunting gana. When I saw a familiar girl, I immidiately eat my food dahil ayaw ko muna syang maka-usap. Saktong tatayo na ako nang hawakan niya ang braso ko.

“Eira, sorry na. I forgot dahil sa sobrang busy ko,” pagmamakaawa ni Chelsea. I gave her a frowned face then she gave me sigh.

“Fine, my treat. Just forgive me okay” she said and that give me a smile so we went to counter and buy foods. Marami na ngayon ang kinuha kong pagkain dahil nagkagana na ako at minsan lang kasi manlibre si Chelsea kaya susulitin ko na.

“I hope you can go later,” she said.

“Of course,” I said whole eating my food.

“Kahit na...meron si Lucas mamaya?” pagtatanong niya kaya naman nabilaukan ako dahil sa nabigla ako sa sinabi niya.

Ano pa ba magagawa ko? Eh kaklse ko siya, hindi naman maiiwasang hindi ko siya makita araw araw. Habang nabibilaukan ako ay may nag abot sa akin ng tubig. Inabot ko iyon kaagad.

“Thank you,” I said at uminom ulit. I saw Chelsea’s face na namumula kaya naman napagtanto ko na hindi siya ang nagbigay sa akin ng tubig.

“You’re welcome,” wika niya na kaya naman nabilaukan ulit ako. This time Chelsea gives me a tissue. Nilingon ko naman yung taong nagbigay sa akin ng tubig.

“And what are you doing here, Kyle?” I asked.

He is Kyle Adrian Nicolas my sutior since first year highschool and still waiting for me.

“I saw you a while talking to Chelsea so I come over pero napansin ko kasi na nabubulunan ka kaya ito inabutan kita mg tubig,”he said and smiled.

“Uhm,may I sit with you girls?”he asked.

Sasabihin ko sanang hindi pwede pero sumingit si Chelsea.

“Sure,kumakain pa lang naman kami,”ani ni Chelsea.

Tatabi na sana sa akin si Kyle pero sinamaan ko siya ng tingin.Napansin naman ito ni Chelsea.

“Ohh come on Eira,pagbigyan mo na alangan namang sakin siya tatabi dba?”Chelsea said.

I sigh parang siya ang may ari ng buhay ko para sabihing pag bigyan ko si Kyle.

“Fine,” I said at tumabi na sakin si Kyle.

Habang kumakain kami ay napag usapan na namin ang tungkol sa party para mamaya.

Na sabi din sa amin ni Chelsea na pwede naming gamitin ung pool nila para mas masaya.

“I hope this would be fun!” excited na sabi ni Chelsea.

“Of course,”wika naman ni Kyle.While we are eating may grupo ng mga kalalakihan na lumapit sa amin.

“Miss Phoenix,pinapasabi ni Mr. Duke na mayroon siyang ibibigay na surpresa mamaya sa inyong party at ayaw niyang nakikitang may kasama kang ibang lalaki,”sabi ng nasa gitna at umalis na sila.

Pag-kaalis nila ay napansin ko si Lucas sa bintana na nakatingin sa akin,nginisian ako at umalis na.
