In the year 1950, during the Summer, in the made-up city called Blackthorne in England, lives the forty-four-year-old man named Mr. Pryce, who has Glaucoma. Nobody actually knows what Mr. Pryce’s first name is. Mr. Pryce runs his greenhouse that is in his backyard, in which, visited by friends and their families, but visited most by eight-year-old Forrester Cahill, who has visited the greenhouse since he was five. Mr. Pryce and Forrester have been neighbors since Forrester was a baby. And yet, in the book, something at the end happens to Mr. Pryce, but you have to read the book to find out.
