An 14 year old girl stands at the front of the class giving a presentation.
"King Henry VIII, King of England had six wives. Henry's wives were Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard, and Catherine Parr. But for this presentation, I will focus more on the first three.
Catherine of Aragon was first married to Henry's brother Arthur, She was a Spanish Princess and her parents were Isabella I of Castile, Ferdinand II of Aragon. Catherine had 6 total pregnancies, 5 ended in miscarriages, while the other was a girl, named Mary."
Aurora takes a breath to calm her nerves
"Soon Henry was losing faith in Catherine to bear a child. That's when Henry meets Anne Boleyn. Anne wanted to become Henry's wife and Queen of England. An so after months of chasing Anne, but not before he broke from the Catholic Church and created the Church of England, he then married her.
After Anne had 5 pregnancies and only birthed a girl, Henry grew tired of her. And Jane Seymour became his mistress. Anne soon after the loss of her last child was accused of many charges and was ultimately executed. Jane Seymour gave Henry what he needed most, an heir. Back then men were only fit to rule or have and standing in court. I was rare of a woman to hold a title without being married first. So because Henry had 2 daughters already he needed a boy, an heir to the throne of England. Sadly just a few days after the birth of her son, Jane died of childbed fever. It was as common as the common cold is today."
