Secret Session

"Mr. Kane, what are you doing here?!" Marisa questioned in a daze. "I'm here for you." Damien said as he pushed her onto the bed. He kisses her and she closes the gap in between her legs. She wanted so badly for him to take her right then. "Mr. Kane, can you do me a favor?" Marisa asked heated by lust. "How many times have I told you to call me by my name?!" He grunted.

New Boss? Great…

"I don't get paid enough for this." I whispered to myself as I leaned back in my chair. I faced the ceiling and I said, "I bet the ceiling understands my problems more than my boss ever will."

I don't wanna sound like the iconic stressed women from one of those movie. But to be honest, right now, I DO feel like one of those stressed women from the movies. I mean, I did just get screamed at by my boss because we lost a "very important" client. It really wasn't even my fault that one of my subordinates lost the client's documents and now we as a company, have to pay a huge sum of money to compensate for the loss of the financial documents.

I looked through my emails; 99 plus unread emails. I scrolled through each of them. Some were spam, others were from people asking for approval to work with us. I read some of the top emails. They were from my shitty boss, Tiffany.

All thanks to her, my new subordinate lost the financial statements and we have to go on a cat and dog chase just to get these documents back. I wouldn't be surprised if Tiffany was found out by the police and put in jail. She deserves it, anyways.

I clicked through some more messages and it was a notice from the company. The notice read, "To all employees, please give a warm welcome to your new boss, Damien Kane. Unfortunately, your former boss was fired due to lack of commitment in the workplace. Thank you for your work and keep doing your services well".

I was astonished by the email. No wonder why Tiffany looked so upset this morning. The box of things was huge as she walked out. I'm surprised none of that clicked in my head until now.

I was tired and stressed out by the entire week. Everyone should have gone home by now. I laid my head on the desk. If I was going to die doing this work, I'd die well rested. I snoozed on the table.

I hear a clicking sound. I just ignored it. I just thought that it was something going on in my dream. I see my ex, Joshua, standing there with a smirk on his face. He stands there with his arms crossed, looking at me. "Baby, come here." He said, holding his arms out, "Let me get a good look at you."

We were in the middle of the woods and everything was dark. It was pitch black. The only thing that provided light was the moon stabbing through the trees. I stand there nervously. Joshua came back for me? "What are you waiting for?" He asked with a grin, his eyebrows rising with amusement, "Don't you love me?"

I step back from him, "You cheated on me. Remember?"

He chuckles, "Yeah. I know...but it's all in the past now, right?"

He gets closer to me until he's right upon me. I felt his chest pressing against mine. "Why won't you give me your love, again?"

I push him off of me. The feeling of him on me burned my skin. It itches and it felt like it would never go away.

Suddenly, a booming voice filled the woods, "Hey, are you sleeping on the job?"

The sound of the voice jolts me awake. I frantically look around for the sound of the voice, and I finally saw it.

A tall man, pristine suit, sitting at the edge of my desk. His Australian accent said, "You must've really been tired, huh?"

His grey eyes pierced me as he sat in the chair. "Do you know what time it is?" He asks me.

"Umm...seven o' clock?" I answered in an awkward tone.

"Not even close." He said.

The room was dead silent and he shifted in his seat to pull his phone out of his pocket. He flips through it and closes it again.

"The name's Damien." He said politely as he held his hand out to shake it.

It feels like I heard that name before. But from where? My head hurt way too much to think about who he was at the time. All I knew about him was that he was quite handsome.

I shook his hand and returned the gesture, "I'm Marisa."

His hands were firm, but also soft. What kind of hand cream does he use?

He stands up to leave. He opens the door and says before he walks out, "Don't let me catch you sleeping on the job again."

I laughed it off and said, "I won't let you down."

He left and closed the door behind him. I turned to my computer and looked at the time. "Eleven?!" I shouted with a gasp, "I slept almost until midnight?!"

I really need a break. I signed out of my computer and went to my car to drive home. The parking lot was empty. The only sound in the parking lot was my shoes tipping on off of the other heading to my old beat-up car. I sat down in my car and squeezed the steering wheel tightly, "When are you going to go get therapy?" I asked myself.

I groaned as I banged my head on the top part of the steering wheel. I got my act together and drove home.

A tiny apartment that needs repair. I step on the door mat and I see a red slip taped to the door. "Home sweet home." I said as I looked at the fine print of what was written on the paper. My rent was past due. And it will be expected to double next month.

It just added to the overload on my pallet. As soon as I got inside of my apartment, I dropped my purse on the floor and I stumbled to the couch. Getting rest was the only thing that mattered to me right now. I do t care if my lazy ass is late for work tomorrow.

—————————————————————————

The sun passes through all of my windows, which wakes me up. I got in the shower and rushed. I knew I was late for work.

I have a new boss. Whenever there is a new employee, we have to have a welcoming meeting for them. I threw on the first clothes I saw in my closet. A random blouse and some jeans.

I grabbed my car keys and my purse that was sitting by the door that I dropped last night. I sped to work. I know I might be receiving a ticket in the mail.

I rushed through the the entry doors of Hampton City Finances and I rushed to the conference room. I pressed the button for the tenth floor. I knew I was extremely late because the elevator was empty. The doors closed and the typical music started playing. I wanted to punch a hole through the speaker. It felt like the music was trolling me.

The elevator slows down and stops at the eighth floor. Great. I'll be even more late. A man in a nice suit stepped on the elevator and looked at the buttons. I guess he was also going to the tenth floor. I looked up at his face and I realized something: He was the same guy from last night. He noticed me staring at him and I turned away.

Well, that was awkward. "Good afternoon, Damien!" I said nervously.

I'm pretty sure I was sweating. He probably sensed it because he said, "There's no need to be uncomfortable. Today's gonna be chill."

"I don't know about that" I said with a shy grin.

He raises an eyebrow, "Oh? Why not?"

I thought about all the reasons about how my day could be a living hell. I said trying not to crack m voice, "The new boss is going to kill me."

"Again," he said annoyed, "Why?"

"I'm pretty sure the new boss is a dick." I said under my breath.

He scoffs, "Well, you in for a treat."

I didn't want to entertain him even more. I stopped talking to him. The elevator finally reached the tenth floor and I got out.

I speed-walked to the conference room. Several turns through the hall and there it was. The door that read, "Conference Room", was in front of me.

I pushed the door open to see all of my coworkers chatting with each other. They were sitting at the table. I sat next to Olivia. She was someone who I could really trust at the office.

"Slept in?" She asked.

"You know it!" I said sarcastically. Not in a bad way, but in a friendly way.

She takes a sip of her coffee and hands me a file. "What's this?" I take the folder from her and flip through it.

"I'd hate to say this," she took a deep breath, "You're being moved positions."

"What?!" I shouted.

She takes another sip of her coffee, "Do you want a cup?"

I don't need a cup of coffee, I need beer, wine, whiskey!

The chattering in the room stops. A well-dressed man steps into the conference room.

He walks over to the head chair and sits down.

I look up from the folder and at him. It was the guy that I talked to on the elevator, the guy that saw me snoozing away on my desktop.

He sighs and looks through his folder. Everyone at the table makes uncertain glances at each other as he began to talk, "Alright, let's just get through the introduction."

It felt like a beehive was inside of my head. I heard a constant buzzing sound as he talked. "I'm Damien Kane. I'm not saying this to be friendly, but to be firm."

I got it...he was one of those...

"Now that I am responsible for this company, we'll have to go over all the material and how I want them."

He flips through the folder swiftly. The paper flaps as he does so.

"Damn, this guy needs a chill pill." I said under my breath to Olivia.

Damien stops flipping through the folder and gives me an angry glare. His grey eyes stung me. I know I'm in trouble...

He kept flipping through the folder and he goes over how he wants things HIS way. What a control freak.

"Whatever money offers that you get, clear it with me first, you tracking?" He said as he skimmed through the files.

He was demanding, but it made him look so hot. Instead of listening to what he was saying, I was caught up in his appearance. His suit hugged his arms and I saw his muscles flex each time he flipped through the pages. It made me think about how his hands would feel. If they were on me. It made me wonder about him touching all over me.

My bubble popped when I heard my name being called, "Ms. Nam!"

I look up and Damien was glaring at me again. This time it was even worse. I saw his lip perk up with annoyance. He must've been pissed about me calling him a dick on the elevator.

He looked so hot when he was mad, though.

He went back to reading his expectations. His change in demeanor made me stop. I need to pay attention.

—————————————————————————

It felt like forever until the meeting was finally over. Everyone got up in relief and went to do their own thing. Before I got a chance to leave the room I heard his raspy Australian accent, “Ms. Nam, meet me in my office at the end of your shift.”

Oh shit…

I went to my office and went through some financial files. I occupied myself by doing what I’m pretty good at.

I glanced at the folder next to my mousepad and I picked it up. “Piece of shit.” I said to myself.

The folder went over the terms of the position movement. I was going to be a personal assistant…yay.

The worst job you could get. I got it.

I looked at the clock. It was six pm, the end of my shift. Damien said he wanted to talk to me about something at the end of my shift.

I went to the elevator and pressed the button for the top floor. The penthouse level.

I went to the CEO’s office and knocked on the door. No answer. I let myself in.

“You said you wanted to see me, Mr. Kane?”

He was sitting at his desk, looking stressed. He looks up at me and exclaims, “Oh. Yes, have a seat.”

I walk up to his desk. This was very close. I got to have a closer look at those biceps than when I was drooling over him in the conference room.

“I wanted to talk to you about your new position.” He said, “I’m going to need you to be a very diligent worker.”

I nodded my head, pretending to understand what he was saying. He announces, “I’m going to ask you some questions to see if you’re fit for the position.”

“Okay.”

He begins, “How old are you?”

I answer all of his questions the best that I could. It was the questions that he ended with that made me nervous. “Are you married?”

“No.”

My voice quivered. He questioned me further, “Do you have a boyfriend?”

“No.”

He sighs, “Oh. Okay.”

I look him in the eye and he’s giving me this look that sends shivers down my spine. It made me wet. I closed the gap in between my legs.

He stands up and walks behind me, “You don’t have a boyfriend.”

His voice deepens as he gets closer. He placed his hands on my shoulders, “Let’s fix that. If you’ll let me.”

“How?” I ask him shaking.

He smirks and brings his face closer, “I think you know how.”
