Trudging through the soft snow, Scarletpaw breathed in the fresh scent of Leafbare. She had become an apprentice one moon ago, her mentor -Thistlenose - was taking her on a hunting practice. Thistlenose was known for his bubberly engergy and was quite hyper, yet a very good teacher. He had a sleek brown pelt and amber eyes, while Scarlet having a white pelt with grey sploches and blue eyes. In the distance, Thistle spotted a rabbit.

"Do you see that rabbit over there, Scarletpaw?", he hissed under his breath, geturing forwards. "Yeah", she repiled cunningly. Scarlet crouched, her tender underbelly tickling the ground. Being an almost completely white cat helps hunting in Leafbare. One paw, then the other, she repeated in her head. Scarlet was one fox tail away from the rabbit now.

Just pounce already, she said in her head. She jumped up and tackled the rabbit down, little bits of blood flying and sinking into the snow. "Good!", Thistlenose remarked as he padded towards her. A smile was drawn on her face. Never did she feel any guilt when she killed something, she was doing the clan a favour.
