Hi, my name's Tyler, and this book (or diary, if you want to call it that) is all about my not-so-amazing life. It all started with my very first day at Zodiac High school. I was wandering through the seemingly endless hallway, searching for the chemistry lab, I wasn't focused as I was thinking of the way my new school was going to be like. Then I accidentally bumped into someone, little did I know that that was going to be the biggest mistake I have ever made (I wouldn't call it a mistake. Continue reading to find out what I am saying.) The person that I bumped into was the principal's son, Kyle. When I saw him, I almost fainted from his beauty, or is it handsomeness? Whichever one. As I was saying, he had snow-white hair and pepper-red eyes. And he looked like one of those celebrities. But after secretly admiring him, I apologized for my clumsiness. Then he replied,
"You must be new, right?"
"Yeah," I replied.
"OK. Here's some piece of advice for you. Be careful with me, so things don't get messy, alright?" He warned in a deep and scary tone. He left the scene. I was shocked. But not at his warning. My heart was banging hard in my chest, and I could feel my stomach flipping. Did I like this guy? I shuddered at the thought. I'd just met him, and the way he treated me was rude and horrible. So, even if I liked him, I was going to try my best to ignore him. But then I heard his voice behind me.
"You're still here?" I was afraid to face him. I could feel my face turning red. What if, when I turned to him, he would think of me as a fool and torture me? So, I replied to him (without looking at him, of course).
"I couldn't find my way to the chemistry lab."
"Then why didn't you say so? Follow me."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah" I smiled warmly. This time I was alright. I turned around to find out that he was already leaving me. I rushed to join him.
"I'm Tyler, what about you?"
"Kyle. And there's no need for an introduction. I already know you."
"Huh?"
"Our dads are rivals."
No wonder he looked familiar. He was Kyle Anderson, son of Mike Anderson, who's the owner of the Waders industry. (And yes, I'm the son of a multi-millionaire too). We were quiet for the rest of our journey. We finally arrived at our destination. I expected it to be a small space, but what I saw made my eyes budge out of my eye sockets. It was huge. It could probably fit 5 SUVs!
"The space is ginormous!!"
"Well, my mom put a lot of effort into this school."
"No wonder, it's the best school in all of California." We entered the lab and while I was admiring the apparatus, the other students barged in.
Turned out that the bell had rung, and the teacher would be coming for us any minute. I quickly ran to one of the stools and placed my bag on the lab table. As I expected, the teacher walked into the classroom and placed his coffee mug on the table. Sometimes, I wonder why teachers always bring coffee mugs to their classes. Well, that question will be answered another day. The class started with the teacher greeting the students. Then he paired us up for an experiment/test. Unfortunately, Kyle and I were in the same group. I was shy at first, but then I calmed myself down. I observed the class, and spotted him, in the back, and I went over to him.
"Since you're new, there are a few things you should know. Firstly, the chemistry teacher is my mom's best friend. So, if you annoy him, you are gonna be reported straight to her."
"I see."
"And his name is Mr. Alex."
"Got it." Just then, the teacher called for silence. He informed us of our practical being on paper chromatography. The students were all groaning and muttering. But I wasn't bothered, and I could tell Kyle wasn't either. Mr. Alex continued by telling the class that the practice will be 40 marks. The class yelled.
"Begin. The first pair to submit their work determines when the rest will." He told.
"This is going to be a piece of cake," Kyle smirked.
"You've done this before?"
"Yeah. My aunt taught me. She's a scientist. What about you?"
"Oh, I learned it in my previous school."
"That means that it will be like a breeze then." We put on our gloves and our safety glasses. We started our project, and truly it went like a breeze. It was also really fun, well, only because Kyle has a great sense of humor. When we wrapped up, he insisted on handing over the project to the teacher.
As he walked over to him, the other students were cursing him. I noticed that he was conversing with Mr. Alex, but I couldn't hear anything. He walked back to his stool next to me empty-handed. I asked him about what happened, and he told me that we got a perfect score. I jumped up in excitement. But then I noticed that I had just embarrassed myself, so I quickly sat down. The other students had no other choice than to submit their work. But I didn't care about the others, not that I was nonchalant or anything, I just wanted to check the school out, so I stood up from my seat and stormed out of the class.
*********************************************************************************************** I walked over to the art studio to relax (because art was my hobby). As I entered, I noticed two boys who were around my age. One had brown, short, wavy hair with hazel eyes, while the other had silver-white hair with blood-red eyes, and I noticed that there was a striking resemblance between him and Kyle.
"What do you want?" The white-haired boy asked.
"I just came here for a quick painting."
"Sorry, but the person in charge said that we shouldn't let anybody else touch his items."
"Oh, I see."
"Ivan, why do you have to lie to him." The brownie quickly jumped in. "Don't mind him. You're allowed to do whatever you want.
"Um, ok."
"So, what's your name?
"Tyler Kevins. What about you?"
"Zach Mikail. And my stone-headed friend over here is Ivan Anders.
"What about you?!" Ivan argued.
"Wait, so you're telling me that that's Kyle's brother?!"
" Yeah. And what's it to you?"
"I'm just surprised, that's all." Just then, the bell rang for the closing of the school. Zach stood up and spoke.
"Well, that's my cue to leave. Ivan, see ya later." As he left, Kyle entered the room. He greeted his brother, but he ignored him. Then he turned to me.
"Aren't you supposed to be leaving the school?"
"Why are you asking? It just ended now." Well, the bell just rang now, but the school had closed an hour ago.
"WHAT?!?!" I yelled. Why did the bell go off now? Kyle explained to me that the timekeeper had gone home early, so there was no one to ring the bell. That makes more sense. He told me that he escort me home if I wanted, and I agreed.
"Seriously, brother. I'm not a sadist like you." He grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the studio. He held onto my hand until we were outside the school. Furthermore, he released my grasp and then apologized. I ask questioned his actions, but I didn't get a reply.
"Look, I'm sorry, ok."
"What do you mean by that?! You almost broke my wrist!" He was quiet. He looked away from me and sighed. Then he asked me a question that made me speechless.
"Are you into boys?
"Huh? What do you mean?
"You know what, never mind that. Lead the way."
"Um, sure." We didn't speak to each other till I got home. When I arrived at my door, Kyle just waved at me and left. I rushed upstairs without greeting either my parents or my siblings. I hopped on my bed and thought over the question that Kyle gave me. "Does he have feelings for me?" I whispered to myself. But my thoughts were interrupted by my little sister, Lisa. She barged into my room asking me what I was doing. But I chased her away.
