Living in a small town, Annabeth knew it wasn't the best place to find a date especially since she was lesbian, most of the girls in her hometown were straight. Coming out wasn't as bad as she thought, her step father was very supportive along with her mum and her older brother Thomas.
Annabeth did however lose some friends and other family members in the process but she knew, they weren't true friends if they didn't want her to be happy. Annabeth knew she liked girls when she was in year 9 as she was attracted too the senior girl Miley.
Later on Miley and I started to date but it didn't last long because let's just say it was a dare, giving her everything that I held dear. Because I thought she was special. 10 years later I own my own bookshop just on the outskirts of town.
It was a cute little place and everyone loved stopping by, young, teenage, adult and old. I had a wide arrange of books and tried to keep my shelves freshly updated. My bookshop, also had a cafe and a library so if people just wanted to read and drink coffee they are more than welcome too. It was called Dragons Keep.
Annabeth was humming to the tunes playing on the radio as she stored away books she has just received. She even refilled the coffee grinds and milk fridge, her little treats set out on display.
Meanwhile Hayley groaned as she woke up in a hotel room, it's been a few days since Louise broke up with her. Hayley had no idea why, Louise didn't give her an answer when she asked. She looked over at her bedside and saw some paracetamol which she took before standing up.
After Louise broke up with her Hayley knew she needed a few days to herself and what better than to head somewhere, where no one knew her name. She loved her fans but when she was in a state, she couldn't help but be mean and she didn't want her fans to see her mean side.
Hayley got dressed and packed her back, before leaving the hotel. Lightning a cigarette as she stepped out of the hotel room. Hayley closed her eyes as the warmth of the smoke filled her mouth.
A shy tear fell from her eyes as she sniffled, she checked her phone to see if she had an notifications but there weren't any. Once Hayley was done with her cigarette, she placed it into the smoke bin and headed to her Land Rover.
Unlocking it, she decided to head into the town that was nearby. She started the car and backed out of the car park, placing it into first gear once she was back far enough and drove onto the road.
She hummed along to the radio as it played, her sunglasses placed over her eyes as she drove towards town. Once she found the perfect spot to park, she took it turning the engine off.
As soon as she stepped out, she heard a flash making her wince in the sunglasses.
"Hayley Wilkinson, can you give us an update on why Louise broke up with you?" The paparazzi asked as they snapped pictures.
Hayley held her hand over her face as she walked ignoring them, she always found it crazy how they knew about something when no one told them. But she also knows words spreads quickly when you are a celebrity.
Hayle hurried her pace before walking into a book shop, she took off her glasses and took a deep breath.
"Hello and welcome to Dragon's Den," Hayley heard a voice.
She looked up to see a girl with long brown hair tied in a ponytail, she wore a crop top and jeans. A touch of makeup but not much so it would stand out.
"Do you mind if I hide in here for a bit, paparazzi are crazy?" Hayley asked.
"Of course, would you like a coffee while you wait?" Annabeth asked.
Hayley smiled, "I would love too, my name is Hayley and yours?"
"I'm Annabeth," Annabeth replied with a smile as she walked to the cafe area. "What coffee did you want?"
"Can I have a latte with 1 sugar?" Hayley asked.
She couldn't believe how beautiful Annabeth was, and how nice she was.
Annabeth made the latte doing some latte art giving her a flower well a rose latte art before walking it over to her.
"Here you are, if you want a cake or anything let me know okay," Annabeth replied placing down the latte
Hayley couldn't believe her eyes, the latte was amazing even the latte art was great. She didn't want to drink it because it'll ruin the art.
Hayley sighed softly as she finally decided to drink the latte, she watched as Annabeth stocked shelves and served customers. She even helped the elderly look for a book.
"Annabeth, have you found a girl yet?" Barbra asked Annabeth.
"Not yet, I'm still working on it Barbra. How's your husband Dave going?" Annabeth asked.
"Oh, he's getting better slowly thought I lost him there for a second," Barbra admitted.
Annabeth frowned softly before giving her a hug, "Did you want a cake before you go for be grandkids? On the house?"
"Oh that'll be wonderful darling but I can't just have you give it for free," Barbra spoke.
Annabeth shook her head and walked over to the cake display and picked out 5 slices for her 3 grandchildren, Barbra and Dave.
"Here," she smiled gently
Hayley watched the whole thing, she couldn't help but smirk when Barbra asked if she found anyone yet, she couldn't believe though that Annabeth was day. But that would also explain why she is so hot.
Hayley licked her lips before finishing her latte off,, "Thank you," she told Annabeth before slipping her a bill and her number. "Call me, sometime."
