#NewWritingContest - Make your world a comic

Comics are also stories. Stories that are quite different, but fun. That is why at Inkspired we have decided to honor them and challenge users to create a comic that takes out their most artistic and innovative side, in a new contest called "Make your world a comic". This will consist in creating a graphic story of what your country would be like in 100 years from now. You can base the story on real facts or use fiction elements. The objective is to be as imaginative and creative as possible, without limits.

The comic must be exclusive and contain at least 10 pages, in which there must be both text and graphics.

The BEST COMIC - the most creative, innovative and original - will be the WINNER. Works will be graded based on the following points:

Quality of the graphic art - 30%

Quality of the story's narrative - 35%

Grammar, spelling, and correct punctuation - 15%

The creativity of the work's development - 20%

The work with the highest score will obtain the first place.

Start date: September 18, 2018

Closing date: October 21, 2018

But what is a comic?

A comic consists of a story's narration through a succession of illustrations that are completed with a written text. The text that is used in the comic to represent all kinds of sound fulfills the following functions: Express the dialogues and thoughts of the characters. Introduce supporting information on the billboard. Evoke the sounds of reality through onomatopoeia.

How does the contest work?

1. You must create a comic of any category with a minimum of 10 chapters or pages, and publish it in your Inkspired profile.

2. Once your story is published, you can edit it until the deadline.

3. The comic must be published as COMIC.

4. You must tag your story with the hashtag #ComicSoon

5. The comic must have a title, a proper cover, and a brief description.

6. It must be exclusive and brand new.

7. The contest will have a single winner, which will be announced during the week of October 22th if no deadline's extension happens.

8. The winner will be chosen by the Inkspired editorial team, and it will be based on the comic's graphic art, narrative, quality, and compliance with the bases.

9. A minimum of 50 participants is required for the contest to be official.

Competition rules

1. People from any part of the world can participate, but the comic must be written in English.

2. The comic cannot have less than 10 pages, but it can have more.

3. The comics must be of your authorship, we do not accept any kind of plagiarism and there may be legal actions if this is infringed.

4. During the course of the contest, comics can only be published on Inkspired, not on any other platform.

5. If you are not a current user of Inkspired and want to participate, you just have to register. It's free!

6. The comic must have the hashtag #ComicSoon in the hashtags section. In addition, it must have a title, a cover and a brief description of the work.

7. This time you can participate with multiple comics.

8. Anyone who makes spam will be disqualified.

9. The terms of the contest must be fulfilled. No work that comes out of this period will be accepted.

10. Comics can be edited only during the contest term. Once closed, no change will be accepted.

11. Once the winners have been announced, they should write to [email protected] to coordinate the delivery of the prizes. If the winner is not pronounced within 15 days, the prize will be awarded to the comic with the second best score.

12. You do not need to participate from the first day, you can do it when you want while the contest is open.

13. Once the contest is over, all participating comics must remain published in Inkspired for a minimum of 6 months.

14. Participation in this contest means that the user knows and accepts the bases thereof.

How to publish a story on Inkspired?

1. Go to www.getinkspired.com

2. Register as a user (if you are not already), you can do it manually or via Facebook

3. Click on CREATE A STORY

4. Choose the type of story you wish to publish, in the case of the contest it would be: Visual History

5. Write the title of your story. You can edit it later if you wish.

6. Upload the graphics in each chapter.

7. Once finished a chapter click on 'save' and continue to the next by clicking on the book next to the title (New Chapter), or click on 'close and go to the story's profile'.

8. Here you can add the hashtag #ComicSoon, the description, the cover, and the language.

9. Then you will have to go down to where the title of your chapter is to click on the button of the publication status that says 'Draft' and change it to 'Published'.
