Other titles I considered for Chapter 33 were: Unblocked, 180, and Crystal Clear. I ended up choosing Showdown because, in my head, the confrontation between Paige and Cynthia resembles those in movies about the Wild West.
Paige Murray is a young woman, lost in a big city. Unfortunately, when she moved from her home town, her emotional baggage moved with her. To say she is emotionally crippled would be an understatement... But there is hope. As she gets to know Mark...

Hello, everyone,
Sorry it took me so long to write this chapter; life has been crazy-hectic over here. Don't you hate it when obligations interfere with your writing? -_-
Sorry it took me forever to write Chapter 30, but I got sick. Mind fog makes it extra hard to find the right words.
I'm not so sure about the title. I was between 'Symmetric Instances' and 'Catalyst'. Which one do you like best?
In Chapter 29: Virtuous Circle, Fred says he and Robin chose to name their son in honor of his grandfather. However, the reason why I chose that name was a mini tribute to Edward de Vere, the man believed to have written many of the works signed by William Shakespeare.
Hey, everyone!
It's been a while since I last wrote...
I wanted to apologize for changing the number of expected chapters, again -_-'
I don't do it on purpose; my characters keep talking in my head. I just try to keep up.
Chapter 24 is ready!
Trivia: Unlike many characters from this story, Mark was not inspired by an actual person. Too dreamy to be true, I suppose. But, I got the line “this is real, too,” from my partner (who was amused to know I included it here).
For those of you who had made it so far, what do you think Peter is accusing Hannah of (in Chapter 23 – Prelude)? I'm not considering expanding on it, but, if anyone does guess, I'll let everyone know.
Trivia: Have you noticed that usually my characters refer to events and conversations that weren’t written into the story? That was inspired by the 2004 movie Closer. When I first saw it I thought that was annoying, but then I decided it was brilliant.
PS: You can also support my work without spending a dime by showing it some love, spreading the word, and/ or writing a review.
Thank you for reading <3
Hello everyone!
I've got a handful of exciting news. First, chapter #20 is ready; we are now closer to this story's culmination.
Second, I can now receive payments from readers (that's you!). I chose to keep my story available for free for the time being, but I am accepting donations.
Chapter 19 is ready!
Trivia: An earlier version of Pages by Paige (which only existed in my head) included the days where Sean and Paige worked together.
This chapter took a bit longer to get done but I believe the result is quite juicy.
By the way, as you may have figured out, I'm not exactly a Christmas person... Still, I do hope you'd had a great holiday!
See you next year!
XOXO,
Inés
Trivia: Some characters were inspired by actual people. For instance, Mr. Craig was based on a professor I had which, for some reason, I pictured dressed as an elf. And Robin shares traits with 2 of my closest friends.
Trivia: I used to collect clippings from interior design magazines and the way I picture Mark's loft was inspired by one of them.
Also, in case you were wondering, I'm Team Foam, too.
Once again, writing this chapter took me longer than it should have had... my bad. It's just that there's plenty going on in my life now. So much so, that I often feel like a juggler -_-
Hello peeps!
I hope you're all doing well.
Spoiler alert: In this story, things get worse before they get better.
I believe the same is true when it comes to life.
Hello lovelies,
Chapter 12 is ready! Actually, I finished it a few days ago, but I forgot to post an announcement... I guess that's what happens when creative writing occurs between college finals (even when they are virtual).
By the way, the name Jemima is a double reference: The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck is a book by Beatrix Potter. And Jemima J. is a novel by Jane Green. The fact that Paige chose that name suggests she enjoys reading.
Would you like to see more trivia posts in the future?
Hello lovelies!
I thought I'd include a little trivia this time (spoiler alert?):
Paige says Nora Chapelle is a character from a book she once read. Do you know, without using any search engine whatsoever, what book she is talking about?
Hello world,
Yikes! I got behind again... sorry. I got caught up in school work.
I already have the new chapter mapped out in my head- all there's left is to actually write it. I just need a few extra days to recharge my creative energy.
Take care,
Inés
I'm a bit behind, but the new chapter is almost ready, I promise! Thank you for understanding. I truly appreciate your interest in my work.
I hope you are all safe and well. Please take care!
