It's when the day turns the morrow,

that's the moment I awake.
When light goes dark and joy turns sorrow,
the chains upon my mind then break.

I'm searching now as I searched then,
chanting slowly ancient plays.
Afraid of demons that may waken,
like they did then, long buried days.

It's now the moment for some pain,
that better days might await.
Now soulitide, now time for arcane,
that hidden smile will someday break.

So give me fire for what's furthest,
all things here now I let fly.
Broken the cage and broken the bondage,
your face I dream this lonely night.

The End

Meet the author

Cristian Orellana In search of sanity and peace. I write short poems, they give me solace and happiness. Rather dark and cryptic, I do hope they connect with someone. I am an amateur writer, and I hope to improve the more I write and learn. Thank you for reading. I also do some instagraming, look for me as @chirimantecman.
