Once in a blue moon

A silver reflection that lies on my window one more time.

There is only just greatness to see,

standing shameless right in front of me.

A pure bright light that holds in its arms the sleepy trees,

I can almost hear the sparkling whispers running free.

The summer night has painted the sky with a thousand stars,

and a soft wind blows the essence of purple lavender sights.

Peaceful thoughts move freely like the ocean’s waves,

while I can only feel grateful for this heavenly parade.

Dancing crickets sing their song to the beautiful moon,

far away the barking dogs approaches soon.

The neighborhood now has fallen asleep,

as I am awakening slowly by silence within.

A chamomile teacup keeps warm in my hands,

a romantic novel relies calmly on my lap.

Endless repetition takes place, over and over again,

for the moon will change its face with every monthly phase.

This eternal cycle reminds me of a gift to not forget,

because there is always a chance to start over and rebirth.
