Monday

Wake up babe, wake up babe, wake up babe. Is what Mike Hawkins heard as he started to stir from being asleep. He hated that alarm his now ex had recorded for him. To try and make waking him up fun. Now all it did was remind him of what he has lost. First was his dream job, then his car, next was his apartment and finally her! He wanted to delete the alarm. Just like she had deleted him from her life. But he couldn't do it. It was the last thing he had from her. Once Mike got out of bed. He began the tedious task of finding which suit didn't smell the worst. Followed by trying to take a cold shower. Then on top of all that he had to run five blocks to catch the morning bus to get to work. As Mike got to the bus stop panting from running the whole way. He knew he couldn't keep this up for much longer something needed to change in his life.   The whole ride to work Mike just starred out the bus window. Just thinking of what he could do to get his shitty life back on track. When it was his stop to get off. He slowly got up and made his way to the front of the bus trying to avoid bumping into anyone. As he stepped off the bus. He still had another three blocks to run to get to his job. When he finally got there he was sweaty and smelling ripe. He tried to make it to the bathroom to clean up a little before anyone saw him. But as he was about to enter the bathroom a coworker came up to him. "Hey Mike how are you doing today" Jimmy said. "I am doing okay" Mike said. Mike was still trying to get into the bathroom before Jimmy smelled him. So Mike kept trying to ease his way into the bathroom. When Jimmy said "hey can you come look at the case file on my desk real quick". "Just give me a minute and I'll be there" Mike told him. "Aah come on it will just take a second" Jimmy said. "Okay Jimmy" Mike said. They made there way to Jimmy's cramped cubical. As Mike began to look at the case file he knew it was to late. Jimmy's face said it all as he cringed his nose and held his breath. Until Mike finished helping him with the file. As Mike walked away he knew what was going to happen now. Jimmy would go tell everyone about how bad he smelled. "What a great start to a week" Mike mumbled to himself as he entered the bathroom finally.
