Chapter 1

I sit down and look at my best friend. She literally screams like I’m a child.

"No, but why did you fuck Matthew?"
"Lily, I was drunk and I had just been dumped. I had my weaknesses.
"Weakness!" continued Lily. "I’d say bullshit!"
"Stop ! Anyway, you have nothing to say, I’m an adult!"
"I know his reputation. He’s still my brother, I hope it never happens again. I say that for you."

"He promised not to touch my friends," continued Lily.

With that, she lets me go back to the bar. I kept working at the counter, but Lily came in like a hurricane and I stopped before she jumped me.

"Hello! Can I have a beer ?" Ask me for a voice I recognize right away.

I turned around and saw Matthew leaning against the bar.

"Matthew! Wait, I’ll get this for you right away."
"You must be surprised to see me!" he said with a smile.
"A little, but that’s because Lily and I were just talking about you."
"About what?" He asks me with a smile.
"She gave me a moral lesson about what happened last night." I whisper.
"Shit! She knows, you said?" he asked suddenly with a worried look on her face.
"No, no. But remember that you have quite chatty friends."
"What an idiot I was!" whispered Matthew.
"Great, thank you for me."
"No, but I knew I shouldn’t have done that with you."

I look at him without saying a word. I really don’t know what to think. To be honest, it hurts a little. Does he regret it?

"Not that it sucks." he said suddenly, seeing the look on my face. "But I don’t want any trouble between you and my little sister because of that."

The promise he made to Lily about her friends, I know.

"But out of curiosity, would you have done that with me if..."
"If I wasn’t sad, drunk and a little lost?" I said.

I stop to watch his reaction. Why is he asking me that? Did what we did last night matter to him? Or is it just out of curiosity ?

"I don’t think so, Matthew."
"I thought so. And the same for me." He answers calmly.
" Matthew! Are you going to stay at the bar to annoy Cassy or come to our table?" Speak up Lily.

I can feel my cheeks quickly turning red as his buddies know what happened.

"She doesn’t seem to mind him being here," says Alex, one of Matthew’s buddies.

Lily makes one of her faces, which seems to make her brother serious.

"Stop, Li. You’re not our mother, and if it makes you feel better, I don’t remember!"

I keep looking at Matthew. Really, nothing? I have memories of it! Vague, but present. Did he really forget or did he just say that to calm his sister down?
Lily gives me a sad look, like, "I told you so."

"It doesn’t change anything!" With those words, he goes to their table at their table.

The rest of my service went smoothly. When I’m finally done, I take my stuff and look for Lily with my eyes, but she’s gone. She had to go home with her boyfriend Jacob. I’m sure she’ll sleep there too.

"Do you want me to take you home?" asked Matthew.
"No, that’s fine, I don’t want to bother you."

But actually, it’s getting late and it’s cold outside. But I don’t know, I’ve been feeling uncomfortable with him ever since. By the way, who wouldn’t be weird with his night shot the day after the act?

"That’s fine. I was going to go home anyway. Come on, I’ll take you home." he said nicely.

I ended up giving in because I don’t think there are any more buses coming at this time.

As soon as we get in the car, an awkward silence sets in between us. I decide to speak

"Don’t you remember our night?"

He looks at me, eyes wide open, surprised by my question. Matthew is very beautiful, brown with green eyes with beautiful dimples, he has an angel face. In addition to his face, he has a body that appeals to lust. His ninety meter and his chiseled body are equally attractive.

"And you have memories?" he asks, with his serious expression.
"I asked the question first!"
"I lied... But I wasn’t going to tell my sister I liked every second."

I burst out laughing, he’s so nice and cool.

"How many times?" I teased him.
"Don’t say you really forgot our rounds," he said in his sweet voice.
"I have only vague memories, nothing more."

He starts staring at me for several minutes, while leaning towards me. His face a few centimeters from mine.

"That’s too bad. But I guess we won’t be able to do it again. You must have been a lot drunk that night, too bad!" does he sigh and lean against the back of his car chair.
"So you don’t care if the girl is drunk."
"When a beautiful girl throws herself at me, she caresses me and kisses me, I only respond to his request!" he laughs.
"It wasn’t like that!" I answered.
"Oh yeah? Let me refresh your memory a bit."

He leans back towards me and squeezes closer to my face.

"You walked into a bar at night when you weren’t working, which never happens. You were super depressed, and you were looking for Lily, but she wasn’t with us and you were crying so much, you couldn’t stop. So I suggested you start with a beer and forget about the idiot who made you feel this way. "
"And I guess I took your advice."
"Oh yes, you’re so cute when you’re drunk."

He looks at me with a little smile in the corner of his mouth, as if he were reliving the moment.
We arrive in front of my apartment, after a few minutes drive.

"Thank you for being so kind and for walking me home."
"Don’t worry, I enjoyed it. Good night."
" Good night. "

Arriving in my room, I jump on my bed and find sleep directly, probably because of the fatigue that begins to be felt. It’s Saturday, so I’m exhausted.

It’s Sunday morning, I decide to go to the supermarket to buy my first supplies for next week.
Coming out of the supermarket, I find myself face to face with Cameron, my ex-boyfriend. He left me over a week ago. He’s the cause of the wonderful drunkenness and the night I fucked Matthew!
I avoid his eyes and go around, but he spots me, and catches me by grabbing my hand. I force myself to face him.

"I’d like to talk, is that possible?"

I look at him in disbelief, do I really want to talk to the person who broke my heart?

"At least let me explain! I’ll buy you a drink," he said.

Do I really want to hear his rotten explanations, about why he stepped on my heart and my pride?

" Listen I d-"

A hand lands on my hip and I feel someone put his head on my neck, I turn around and see that it is Matthew Lawrence. He starts kissing me all over my neck.

"Are you done shopping, baby?" asked Matthew.
" Um, yes ..." I’m astounded by the situation.
"Cassidy, tell me a little bit about what’s going on." Cameron told me.
" Oh yeah, where was I headed. Matthew is Cameron ... my ex and Cameron is Matthew." I stop there because I do not know how to describe my relationship with him.
" His new boyfriend." Adds Matthew smiling like an idiot.

Cameron seems to be disgusted with the situation, which I don’t understand at all given that he left me.

"Well, shall we go, baby?" said Matthew.
" Bye, Cameron."

Matthew doesn’t even give him time to answer, he takes my hand and takes me to the register.
I wonder if at this very moment, Cameron regrets our breakup.

Here I am with a new story. Hopefully, this time, I will manage to finish it. I will try to post twice or three times a week, or more if I have time.
I think this story will end in no more than 30 chapters and at least 20 chapters.
