A Mile

I stand near the ocean bed,

as the baby in the cradle wakes,

i don't know when,

but the baby was carried away,

just like the dreams of mine,

as i remember there's a long way up,

i rushed to get a coffee cup,

as i remember again,

I walked and walked,

through my darkest nights,

running away from the awkwardness,

all those remarkable sights,

the dirty and hollow rights,

crushing them all at once,

carrying the strongest gun,

to the place rare,

wait for me,

'Cause i am just there,

i told myself,

it's just a mile away.
