We have always been fascinated by things that go bump in the night. Monsters & Demons have been lurking in the shadows of our inner most fears or under our beds hiding in the deep caverns of our subconscious. The stuff of horror movies & teen supernatural television dramas but what are their origins? Are ghosts and gouls just figments our our collective imagination or something darker & more grounded in reality?
Why do the same creatures continue to pop up over & over, Vampires, Werewolves, Disembodied spirits, Demons & so on?
After 100s or even 1000s of years why haven't we become more creative? why the fixation with these same models of nightmare creatures over & over, what's the significance?
Can science, medicine & old world superstition really ever coexist? Was there sense & truth to these old world traditions or has modern advancement filled this void completely?
Is there a gigantic war or struggle of sorts for the souls of mankind?
All this & more we plan to delve into in this third installment of The Jewish Perspective series, but don't worry this book stands alone & needs no introduction.
So sit back strap yourself in & maybe keep the lights on for this one, it's gonna get spooky.
