Battle Follow story

I lost the fight. I lost the battle. I lost the war. And now, I lay on this blood soaked field, the very life seeping from my veins. I look back upon my past. The victories, the defeats. The friends and companions gained and lost along the way. I look back and remember what exactly it was that i fight for. I fought for you. Every step of the way. Every blow I dealt, every wound I received, all of it for you. Now I see my enemy approaching, stalking toward my body, fire burning in his eyes. I clutch your token in my hand, a small thing, but it holds all of my memories of you. Staring into the face of my doom, I retreat into those memories, reliving the past with joy, yet held in the present by pain. He knelt down by my head, pulling a dagger as he did so. Pulling of my helm he held the dagger to my neck, the cold sharpness of the blade biting into my skin. "Get it over with", I spat, between clenched teeth.

"Oh, we aren't done with you yet, you still have purpose." With that he raised his gauntlet covered fist, striking my skull. As my eyes faded and I sunk into blessed darkness, I heard him shout over the battlefield, "Load him up and head back, we have what we need."
