Today was one of the most frustrating days I've had in a while because my teacher called us out for using too many abbreviations in our writing. They think we're too lazy to write out the full word when really, we just don't have time.
And things like that... She annoyed me so much as if she didn't know we are in the future, not in the old days where cellphones didn't exist... now we have internet that works for us... but I know the machines will be the kings...
Today I asked my mom for money and she told me I had to ask my dad; then I asked my dad in the most gentle, plaintive voice I could muster, making eye contact and using my best puppy dog face. And then he said:
-Oh, darling. I am sure your grandfather can give you 50 dollars!!!
I need 50 dollars, but I don't think my grandfather is going to give it to me. So, I thought of making my own money. I considered selling lemonade. But, my neighbour already had that idea. So, I'm going to be a helper. I can help little kids with homework. I can even clean houses and cut the grass.
I could make some valuable money with that work.
-------- Sometime later --------
So, I didn't just make 50 bucks. I made 54 dollars...
Can you believe that???? Now I can pay for the Christmas photo. I know it's not that cheap, but at least it's something... I am so happy...
I am devastated because yesterday I had a quiz that I wasn't prepared for at all and I got a 4 out of 100. My score was a 0, but my teacher didn't want me to get a 0, so she gave me extra points for nothing...
See you tomorrow...
Charlie.
Thank you for reading!
This chapter was cool, but I wish there were more details about Charlie and why she wanted a Christmas photo.
I LOVE this book! Please keep writing it! It’s full of amazing characters. The writing is perfect! I love it!
