Hi I'd start out by sharing the main character's desires and gradually build on that. Like for example: Let's say your mc is a woman and would love to open her own business, get her exposed to people in that field, let her go to business college and there she meets the man of her dreams. Or if your mc is a man he might be on a ranch or farm and looking for something to liven his day to day life, a woman moves into town and he sees an opportunity and takes it. and the story develops from there. This is just my opinion. I don't write romance, I'm a horror writer, but that's my take. Hope it helps (You may take my example if you like if its to your liking)

Hi SM! I'd personally start with one character and introduce the second one from the first person's perspective. I don't usually let my two maoin protagonists meet too quickly, but I try to make their first encounter memorable. Or do you mean something else?
