// Today is January the 23 th and I`m ready for living in Australia. I had to wait eleven hours in Los Angeles that were enough for me to devour Goodnight stories for rebel girls, written by Elena Cavalli and Francesca Cavallo. It is the first time I claim that a book is perfect for one moment because this compilation of short tales from great women inspired me so far that I looked to the mirror and I saw a great girl (I have always been one, but sometimes we need something to remind us of our greatness). The book it´s also nice to read due to the shortness of the stories: no more than one page. And what´s more, each one has an illustration that complements the text. The one I liked the most was Julia Child`s illustration, the chef that ate a bite of a French recipe and, consequently, became one of the most recognized women chefs in the world. The illustration has a lot of colors and in the middle has a quote that immortalizes Julia Child: “A party without cake is just a meeting”. The authors gather one hundred stories of every type of woman: artists, scientists, activists, queens, politicians, among others. All they proving that even if we are fantastic in the kitchen, but we can still light up in thousand more things.
