"And God said, 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness...' So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." (Genesis 1:26-27)
From the beginning, God's design for marriage was to reflect His own image and likeness. Marriage is a sacred institution, ordained by God, to illustrate His love and relationship with His people. As Christians, our marriages are not just a union between two people, but a reflection of our union with God.
In Ephesians 5:22-33, Paul writes, "Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her."
This passage highlights the beautiful picture of Christ's love for His church, and the love and submission that should exist between husbands and wives. Our marriages are to be a reflection of this love, a love that is selfless, sacrificial, and intimate.
In this book, We will explore what it means to be married and intimate with God.
We will delve into the scriptures to understand the foundations of intimacy, how to cultivate it, and the fruit that comes from it. We will also share practical tips on how to build a strong and intimate relationship with God and with each other.
My prayer is that this book will inspire and encourage you to deepen your relationship with God and with your spouse, and that your marriage will be a reflection of God's love and grace to a watching world.
"
May your love for each other and for God continue to grow, and may you always remember to put God first in your lives."
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
