Universes: Narrative worldbuilding

Science Fiction or Fantasy

I'm in the process of writing a story where the protagonist from earth, finds himself in another world where he can command a process that at face value looks and feels like magic. He's read fantasy and enjoyed watching movies as the rest of us have, but he draws the line at believing in magic. It's science, but nothing he can get his head around. Is there a genera for SciFi/Fantasy that is a mix of both ? If I had to assign proportions, it would be 80:20 Science:Fantasy

Galo A. Vargas Then just go for the science fiction category, and choose the subcategory that is the most suitable for your story :) You may also find a "themed setting" for what you are looking for if you start a "Universe" and then link your stories to it.
