Dies sind die Herausforderungen im Mittelpunkt des Autorenwettbewerbs. Du kannst eine beliebige Anzahl von Herausforderungen wählen. Umso mehr Herausforderungen Du bestehst, umso mehr Punkte erhältst Du. Beachte bitte immer die Deadline der unterschiedlichen Herausfoderungen!
Lese Dir die Beschreibungen der unterschiedlichen Herausforderungen sorgfältig durch, bevor Du teilnimmst. Wende Dich gerne an uns bei möglichen Fragen über unser @authorscup Twitter oder Instagram, via E-Mail, oder nutzen der Community-Gruppen für diesen Wettbewerb. Denke daran, dass Du auf "Teilnehmen" und dann "Herausforderung als erledigt markieren" klickst, wenn Du alle Aufgaben abgeschlossen hast , damit deine Herausforderungen zählen. Nur Herausforderungen, die als abgeschlossen markiert sind, werden von unseren Mitarbeitern einem Überprüfungsprozess unterzogen. Das Ergebnis bestimmt, ob Du die Punkte erhältst oder nicht. Herausforderungen, die nicht als abgeschlossen markiert wurden, werden nicht gewertet. Darüber hinaus werden Herausforderungen, die als erledigt markiert und aber tatsächlich nicht erledigt sind, abgelehnt. Warnung: Wenn Du keine Punkte erhältst, kannst Du dich nicht erneut bei der Herausforderung teilnehmen, und Du verlierst diese Punkte. Es werden jeden Monat weitere Herausforderungen auftauchen, und es können einige von einem zum anderen Tag ohne Vorwarnung erscheinen (Flash-Herausforderungen). Wenn Du also diese temporären Herausforderungen meistern möchten, behalten Sie unsere offiziellen Social-Media-Kanäle und diese Seite im Auge.Create a BLOG story type, and write 8 articles (1 per week) until the end of the competition. Articles may be written around the following topics: writing tips, publishing creative media, literary elements, worldbuilding, how to use Inkspired's tools to maximize your potential, or about narrative types.
Organize a Writing Contest. You can pair up (optionally) with any other participant of The Authors' Cup to do it, except anyone that is has been your co-author in any of your stories. Create a fun Writing Contest in any category/genre that challenges writers to write any kind of story in any format. Your objective is to get at least 70 people to participate before the end of the competition. Read more in "additional rules"
For every story you have published for The Authors’ Cup throughout the competition, you need to have posted about it on at least 2 social media channels in between: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin or TikTok mentioning our @getinkspired account, and the hashtag #TheAuthorsCup.
Tell a story in small parts using the "microfiction" format on the mobile apps. You can create a new story or adapt an older story you may have. Adapt it to be told in a mini-series, and publish one microfiction Every Monday, and Every Thursday until the end of the competition. In the end, your micro-story must have 22 microfictions, have an ending, or a cliffhanger for a longer series. You must also use the challenge hashtags and your own hashtag during all the mini-series, in a way to link up all the microfictions.
Promote at least 5 of your stories and 5 stories of any of your favorite Inkspired writers on your Instagram, Twitter and/or Facebook profiles every month for the next 3 months. The promotion must contain information that encourages anyone to read that story. These 'posts' must be published progressively.
Accumulate Reward Credits and reach Inkspired's Level 10. As soon as you do it, mark this challenge as "completed".
Write and Publish a drama story with an interesting plot. It must have, at least, 4 characters involved. The first chapter of the story must be written in 3rd person POV, and each of the following chapters must be written in each character’s point of view.
Co-write a story; any story. We are leaving the theme and the category up to you, but it must comply with 2 rules: - You need to have a minimum of 1 other co-author (or maximum 2 other co-authors), helping you write your story, and they must be participants of The Authors Cup. - You must keep updating the story every week until the end of the competition.
Every month create a video tutorial (5 min) with creative writing tips and publish it on Youtube with the hashtag #TheAuthorsCup and mention @getinkspired. Mention the “The Vlogger” challenge of Inkspired’s Authors’ Cup in the video. The content must be valuable and helpful for every author. Get over 5000 views to earn the maximum punctuation of the challenge. Or at least above 2000 views to earn the “uncompleted” task punctuation.
Choose any story of yours on Inkspired. It could even be one that you have already published prior to the competition or a new story but it must belong to you. Apply for "Receiving payments from readers" either under "Donations" or "One-off" payments and make sales of up to US $300 or more before the end of The Authors' Cup. Only payments earned during the competition, after clicking on "Participate", will count.
[FINAL UPDATE] - Create a new Universe with at least 5 entries in every Glossary. - Add at least 3 linked stories, microfictions, and/or Media. - Mention your Glossaries in the chapters of your linked stories; at least 1 entry per Glossary. - Publish your Universe with a 100% profile completion, including a cover picture and a banner picture. - Get at least 30 followers, 50 likes, and 50 upvotes in total in any combination in your Glossaries.
Create 3 thematic Reading Lists with a minimum selection of 10 stories each, and get 300 votes in total before the end of the month.
The last part of the series. Make a well-drawn webcomic about our beloved characters following the same plot writing by you on the previous 2 challenges. Remember that the webcomic is for kids. You can change small details of your previous script/book, but you cannot fully change the main plot or make major changes.
Write a story based on ONE of the following genres: Werewolves, Vampires, Zombies, Goblins, Angels, Demons, or Wizards. The story must be written in third-person POV. It must contain at least 4 characters: 1 main character, 1 antagonist, and 2 or more secondary ones mentioned in the chapter using the Smart Glossaries tool (Worldbuilding). Attract at least 20 real followers.
Write 11 Poems in different stories. Each Poem has to be a separate story, but all of them must include the same challenge hashtag. You can use any style you wish, but all poems must rhyme and talk about one single theme.
Create a writing InstaChallenge on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook. The challenge can be about any topic you consider fun, but one of the rules should be that participants need to tag 3 friends and @getinkspired using a hashtag with #TheAuthorsCup #TheInstaWriter. The challenge should be brief and not last more than 7 days. In the end, you must have had at least 30 participants.
Win as a Team, Lose as a Team. Based on the Ranking of Week 9 (Friday, December 4) you will need to start an Anthology Story having every challenge participant as a coauthor, depending on if your position is an even number or odd number. For example, if you are in Position 3, you need to have coauthors on odd number positions; if you are in Position 6, you will need to pair up with participants in positions with even numbers. The Challenge is to have a Story compiling at least 8 short different stories of any kind or genre; and the winner will be the team that achieves it faster!
Publish at least 15 microfictions on Inkspired and your Social Network. Each microfiction has to be a dialogue by 1 character, and the next one has to be a dialogue by another. Involve as many characters as you want, but the complete group of microfictions has to be a conversation. Choose a theme between Horror, Adventure, Traveling, or Romance. Use a hashtag to indicate the order of the story, e.g. #Part1of15, #Part2of15
On a published Universe you may have, accumulate a total of 250 upvotes between all your public glossaries.
Write a serial story with short chapters of only 500 words each. You need 6 chapters, and publish 2 chapters per week until the end of the competition. The first chapter must start with the following phrase: "I woke up in the midst of darkness, 5 meters below ground". And the last chapter should draw towards the conclusion with the phrase "And so it was, I found myself digging my own grave again".
Write a "Short story" type, written entirely as a dialogue. You cannot write or describe anything else as a narrator; everything should literally be written as a conversation. All the information must be communicated by the characters at all times. The dialogue could involve as many characters as you wish; it could between 2, 3, or more characters. To develop the story plot, choose one of the following settings:
Publish 1 microfiction on Inkspired, make a print screen of the entire text, and publish it on any social media account you have. On the post, tag our account @getinkspired, write a link to the microfiction, use the mandatory hashtags, and try to get at least 250 Likes.
Co-write a Drama story. The plot is up to you, but it must comply with 2 rules: - You need to have 2 other co-authors of your same country, helping you write your story. They do not need to necessarily be participants of The Authors' Cup, but they should already be a user of Inkspired prior to the announcement of this challenge. - The story needs to have at least 6 chapters, with a length of 1500 words each.
Write a serial story of 8 chapters (publishing twice per week) about an adventure quest where your Characters travel somewhere unknown to find a treasure. The setting, the treasure, and the locations are up to you; but you must keep the treasure as a mystery to the reader until the very last chapter. Use the same characters and places that you will consider for developing your *Universe* in "The Universe Builder" challenge.
Based on the Script written in the previous challenge "The Inko, Inka, Katze script", write a more detailed story of at least 5 chapters aimed at kids. You can change small details of your previous script, but you cannot fully change the main plot or make major changes.
During 1 month, earn a least 150 followers, 20 reviews, and 100 likes in any of your stories published after the start of The Authors' Cup. Additionally, you need to be Level 5 to participate in this challenge. You can only use 1 story.
Publish a small series of webcómics about any topic or genre, where the storytelling, the quality of drawing, and the framing style will be the decisive factors. You need to publish at least 3 chapters with at least 10 pages on each one.
Write an "Interactive Story" about love, sacrifice, and heroism, containing multiple endings based on parallel universes. These parallel universes go along with the stories of the characters in terms of their lives in COVID times (what would have had happened if it never existed, what is happening now, and what would happen if it turns like a post-apocalyptic story). Develop at least these 3 paths of storylines with alternatives of a minimum of 10 chapters each.
This is a special challenge aimed at the new late participants and the ones who had fallen behind in the first month. Get an additional chance to get yourself started faster by writing a Fantasy Story about Dragons and Magic of 4 chapters. You must publish 1 chapter per week until the end of the month, and must contain 1500 words per chapter. You need to be at least at Level 2 to access this challenge.
Write a short story based on the following phrase: "My mother's body was lying lifeless on the floor. Everyone thought I had killed her, but it wasn't me. Across the room, I could see the person who did it, but to say it would doom me". This phrase should be included within the story, whether at the beginning, the middle, or the end of the story. The plot must be developed around it.
Publish at least 15 microfictions on Inkspired and your Social Network, using 3 hashtags. All microfictions must be quality stories, well written, and connected in a way that, if read together, they should make a story, but each individual microfiction should also be able to be understood as standalone microstories.
Read 1 different story each week, from any author within the platform, and leave a *review* in the story using the "send review" option on the website and/or the mobile apps. What are the strengths, the weaknesses, the things to improve, etc… The reviewed stories must be from different authors. You cannot repeat the same author twice.
Create a story with chapters called "The Inktober challenge", and follow the official "Inktober" guidelines. Publish a small chapter (written or visual) every day starting on Sunday, October 4, until you complete the Inktober challenge at the end of the month. The chapters must have the name of the day's word, and they do not need to necessarily be related to each other. More information on "additional rules".
Trick or Treat. Write a Horror story in the Interactive Story format. Your story must contain several paths that lead to several different endings, depending on the reader's choice. The story plot must play around the Halloween theme.
Write a short story about the country you are from. It should include the name of the country, it should portray a positive insight into its culture and/or history, and narrate episodes about any event (past, present or potential future) while blending your own fictional characters with real ones. Be creative, interesting, and include images.
Write and Publish a series of 8 poems about one singular subject (2 every week). Choose a topic and create a connection between them. Each poem must be written in different poem types and you must indicate which one are you using on each poem. Please refer to the "additional rules" section for more information.
Write a script (using the standard scriptwriting style) for our beloved Inkspired characters Inko, Inka, and Katze. Use playful narrative to create an adventure between the 3 characters, keeping in mind that your audience could be people under 16 years old. This challenge will have a continuation, using the basis of what you create, the next month.
Write 3 linked microfiction stories in the next 5 days: they have to be published on different days. Tell the story of an emotional last-minute Christmas Gift from someone unexpected. Your challenge is to make the reader really feel connected and surprised about the story's climax.
Exchange 2000 Rewards Credits to complete this challenge.
In the northern hemisphere of the world, it's the winter's turn. Even if you are not enduring this weather, write a short tale story using the winter setting, a crime, and persecution. Describe the weather and the motion as much as you can, and let the imagery flow. Make the reader feel the chills!
Imagine the world ends at 23:59:59 on the 31st of December 2020 (yeah, just what we needed this year). Use your fantasy or science fiction imagination to forge this apocalyptic setting, and write about your characters trying to save the world, in the most epic way, with the clock ticking down fast to midnight.
Write a story of at least 2 chapters about a funny or an interesting Christmas anecdote you may have had in the past years of your life, and get your friends to "like it". You need at least 25 likes in total.
Write a short romantic story that unfolds in the last 30 minutes of 2020, reaches its climax at midnight, and then ends with a plot twist.
Write a funny short story with an unexpected plot twist about someone casually overhearing a conversation in another room.
Create a short tale story titled "Once upon a time", and start it with that phrase. Then write at least 2 paragraphs about a story, leave it with a cliffhanger, and let your friends continue the story in the comments as a storytelling thread.
Write (or translate) a story in any other language (not in English). It must have at least 3 chapters with 1500 words each and respect all the literature guidelines for writing, plus perfect grammar and spelling. You can either publish a new story or use a verified story you already had and translate it. You can cooperate with a coauthor in case you need to. You will need to publish the chapters on the day of the 5th, 10th, and 15th until midnight (check timezones).
More than an actual writing challenge, we will gift you some points if you can provide us useful feedback about how to improve next year's The Authors Cup and the Inkspired platform in general :) The more unique and elaborated your feedback is, the total amount of points you will get.

You will need to publish the chapters on the day of the 14th, 17th, and 20th until midnight (check timezones).

Two knights are battling each other to death in the middle of a volcanic dungeon when suddenly a two-headed dragon appears intending to kill them both. Write a 2 chapter story of what will happen next with each knight; each chapter has to be the POV of a different knight. The scene will be the same in the 2 chapters, but add a twist depending on each character's perception of the events, what they are thinking, and what are their intentions. Pair up with a co-author to get the full amount of points, or do it alone and get half of them.
Create an Inkspired Universe, and use the Smart Glossaries to create at least 1 *NEW* Glossary for each of the 10 Glossaries available. All of them have to be related to each other, according to the information entered.
Invite at least 15 friends to join the platform, and all of them must publish at least 1 story or 5 microfictions, in any category.
Get 75 likes or more in any story you have written in The Authors' Cup 2020 so far and participate to claim points.
